If you do not have an FTP program installed, no need to worry there are plenty of free ones out there or you can use the built-in FTP program available in Web Designs by Jeffrey's web-based control panel. Web Designs by Northern Technology offers 24 x 7 x 365 support via our online e-service system, online forum, and telephone support is available for emergencies. We are always here to help you no matter what time day or night you need us. Web Designs by Northern Technology professional and e-commerce hosting plans come configured for mySQL database, and phpMyAdmin for simple database creation, import, set up and editing. Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP or our web-based control panel 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site any time you wish. Yes. We can forward (park) additional domains to point to your master domain. There is a $40 per year charge for each domain you add as an alias. Yes, by utilizing our Fake IP addon. It is a CGI based tool that provides the ability to point additional domains to subdirectories of your main domain. There is a one-time $35.00 set-up fee and $10 per month for each domain you add as a Fake IP. Yes we do. Please consult the services area of our site for more details. Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer. New accounts will take from 1 to 4 hours from the time we receive your order. Once your account is set-up, you will be emailed your Account Login information (User ID, Password & FTP hostname) to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new web site. Cost greatly depends on the features and volume of data unique to your particular project. Although we don’t really offer a "cookie-cutter" basic site, you can expect a very basic site to start at seven hundred dollars. These are sites that do not grab the visitor's attention for any period of time, but give the basics such as who you are, what you do, and how to contact you, and that's about it. On-going costs are: Domain name registration - Usually costs about $35 per year, but there are discount registrations services available, and bulk rates for advance payment of registration fees (up to 10 years), and multiple domains. Site Hosting - Starts at $20 per month for most "personal" hosting plans that may be included with your dial-up internet service. Typically, this type of account is intended for non-commercial use only and provides minimal storage space and traffic allotments. Commercial hosting with your own domain name and email addresses usually starts at about $50 per month for full server access and relational databases. Other charges for extra data storage, large amount of traffic, or enhanced services such as multimedia and ecommerce will incur additional costs. While I recommend utilizing my hosting services, I can set your site up on the host of your choice. It depends on the many factors. We can get a web site finished from several days to several weeks or months. We offer express services that can get a web site done in several days at reasonable costs. Generally speaking, the sooner you can give us the approval for the design blueprint, the faster we can get the job done. |
